Design and production of the trophy and its marquetry box for the final of the League of Legends 1v1 international tournament organized by Red Bull in partnership with Riot EU which took place in São Paulo, Brazil on November 30, 2019.

Based on the universe of the game and according to an idea of the graphic designer David Grousset, we created this object. Sculpted then moulded by hand, this trophy was in polyurethane resin casting then covered with imitation gold leaf.
From its shape to its patterns, we created the design of this box. To stay anchored in a form of medievalism, we have chosen to make it in marquetry.

We like to consider new projects as an opportunity to try out new forms of production. It is thanks to the AAA, Association of Alumni and Friends of the EBABX and the production assistance of the cabinetmaker Guillaume Gory that we were able to carry out this project.

For the realization of the marquetry and the cutting of the veneer sheets, we initially turned to the AAA for their know-how and the use of the means of production made available to former students such as the laser cutting.

The cabinetmaker Guillaume Gory helped us with the assembly and plating of the wood sheets and took care of the manufacture of the box.

It was an opportunity for us to discover, assist and learn by participating in all stages of production. This is the first time that we have collaborated with a craftsman. This sharing allowed us to discover a discipline and open the horizon to new creative potential. In the future, we would like to be able to participate more artistic collaborations with other craftsmen with such diverse specialties.
