Custom boxes for Six Invitational 2024 Junliu&Gaël

custom six invitational cases

2024

Wood, aluminum, foam, steel, plexiglass, 3D printing

These custom cases were specially created for the finals of the international E-Sport tournament Six Invitational 2024, which took place in São Paulo, Brazil, in February 2024. Centered around the tactical shooter game Rainbow Six Siege, the event was orchestrated by BLAST in partnership with Ubisoft.

To mark this event, we were asked to design and produce six exclusive boxes for the tournament champions, including the five players and their coach. The goal was for them to receive a series of personalized items evoking the game and relating to this 2024 edition after the tournament.

Each of the boxes contains a miniature metal trophy, a hammer, emblematic of their victory with its personalized base, as well as a medallion engraved with the winner’s name in its case.

Externally, the boxes are elegantly simple. Crafted from wood and coated with black lacquer, they are adorned with a metal plaque engraved with the event’s logo, giving them the appearance of a prestigious case.

The interior, however, reveals a more contrasted universe. Protecting their precious contents, the custom-cut foam, printed with geometric patterns, reflects the visual identity of the event while fitting the shapes of the objects.

With attention to detail, the hammer is accompanied by a small tartan scarf that highlights its uniqueness. The base, matching the protective foam, is designed to resonate with the graphic charter of the 2024 edition. Its reliefs evoke the impact of a hammer, adding a symbolic touch.

The medallions, inspired by military dog tags, are stylized on one side with the event’s logo and engraved on the other with the winner’s name. They are presented in small boxes mimicking weapon transport crates, with roll-top lids inspired by the game’s barricades. These medallions and their cases, adding an extra layer of immersion, reinforce the connection to the military universe of Rainbow Six.

Once again, we would like to thank Ubisoft and BLAST for their trust.
