This trophy was made for the final of the Red Bull Home Ground international Esports tournament held in Manchester, England in December 2022.
Red Bull Home Ground is a multiplayer tournament based on team play around Valorant FPS. The different players compete as characters with fantastic powers.
The idea of this trophy is to create a vertical structure on which are arranged in different volumes echoing to the game.
The central form, which evokes crisscrossing metal plates, raising a letter X, refers to a French expression ‘ cross swords ‘, thus symbolizing the struggle, the duel.
Other elements from the game were also used to compose this trophy.The V of the Valorant logo, and the Radiant rank pictogram which is the symbol of the highest level of players.
By realizing these elements in volume, we were able to integrate LED strips and one-way mirrors. Once the lighting is on, they are highlighted, and the space inside the polyhedron seems infinite. These lighting systems highlight the important elements of the visual identity of the tournament, and also give depth and fantasy to this trophy.
