G2 Ozworld Trophy 2022

This trophy was made for the OZ World Cup organized by the ESport G2 team in collaboration with Adidas on Grand Theft Auto V Roleplay (GTA RP) which took place online in April 2022.

GTA V, a famous game of the franchise published by Rockstar Games, is an action adventure game in an open world where the possibilities are endless.

GTA RP is a mod of GTA 5. In the manner of second life, this version is presented as a metaverse in which players can play as whoever they want by customizing their avatar, and carry out a whole bunch of activities in a fictional city inspired by Los Angeles.

It is in this context that the organizers of this tournament took the opportunity to organize a car race.

In this trophy, we have graphically translated the transition from the real world to this virtual world by confronting two different materials.

The dynamics of the game and the speed of car racing are expressed in the winged shape of the trophy and the illustration printed above. On the latter, the neon effects, shades of blue and Purple symbolize the cyber universe of the virtual world. This boundary between the reality and the virtual world is radically made by scattered and fragmented lines of light, like a force that would have pierced an opening towards another space.
